Troy was born in Vancouver and raised in Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island where he graduated from secondary school.  He then moved back to Vancouver to attend the University of British Columbia where he attained his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Psychology with aspirations of attending medical school.

In 1999 his uncle, Don Clements, asked Troy to come work for Clements Financial to help with marketing and Troy has never looked back since.  He first finished his Canadian Securities fund course and quickly obtained his broker’s license in insurance.  Troy was awarded the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 2008.

Troy enjoys working with clients of various backgrounds with varying degrees of problems to solve.  “The thing I enjoy most is helping people reach their goals. Each situation is unique which requires me to think more about the best way to attain it.  I like the fact that my job is not monotonous.”

Troy now lives in Surrey. In his spare time Troy enjoys reading, golfing, working out and watching our Vancouver Canucks & BC Lions steam roll their competition.
